Hey y'all, haven't been on here for a long time. I've decided to do a bit of a reset on this account. I'm putting aside all of my middle school my little pony pictures to make room for some paintings and other things that I want to experiment with. I will probably not go back to ponies. I started this account when I was about 12 years old, and now, going on 17 and into my junior year, I've just grown out of it.

I'm trying to be more active now, to see how much I can improve upon my skills, but for me art is still a last priority hobby, next to all the other stuff I do. It's really just for fun.

Not sure how many people will read this, but if you did thanks.

Chapter 5

Skywriter gave them a spectacular tour of the ship, humming to herself and trotting happily as she showed them the immense and seemingly endless corridors.

“And this is the swimming pool, and this is the library, and. . .oh!” She explained to them as they passed each open door, “This is my favorite room!” She pointed at one of the doors, an open field filled with wildlife.

“But that’s just outside!” Peppermint exclaimed, confused. “And. . .why is there an ‘outside’ on a spaceship, anyway?” She was still trying to grasp the idea of them being able to travel through all of time and space. The ‘space’ part was still making her head spin.

“The TARDIS is able to develop all sorts of things, if you ask her--” Skywriter replied, “I was missing a piece of home, so she gave me this.” She smiled fondly at the little field and the woods.

Taking a step through the door, Peppermint and the others couldn’t believe what they were seeing: the whole room felt like it was outside! The wind, the grass, the sky-- it looked like it went on and on for miles.

“What happens when you reach the end of it? Ya know, the walls of the room?” Snowflake inquired.

“They’re aren’t walls-- well, sort of. They’re not walls, more like. . .barriers. Have you ever read the Hunger Games?”

“The what?” They said collectively.

“. . .nevermind.” Skywriter shrugged and motioned for them to follow her on the rest of their luxury tour.

Berry was towards the back of the group, followed by Snowflake. They both look amazed. Mr. Blue followed up the rear, and was equally impressed, but didn’t bother to show it. Peppermint and Skywriter were in the front of the group as Sky talked about everything the ship had to offer.

“. . .so there’s these portals, that lead to different hallways and different rooms. There’s a quick access portal near the front of the ship, which you can go through to get anywhere. There’s areas like this, with bigger, less essential things like libraries and swimming pools and giant fields, and then there’s the living hallways.” She stopped in the middle of the console room, where they had ended up, and she led them all to a room with several open doors.

“This,” she said, stepping towards one of the doors, “leads to the living area.” She stepped through and disappeared. Berry gasped as she too stepped through and found herself completely new. She squealed with delight-- a real-life portal! Snowflake followed, then Peppermint and Mr. Blue. They looked around. The facade of the spaceship had been changed-- it looked more like a normal house. There were windows and everything. They were currently standing in the front hallway, with a perfectly normal coathanger sitting next to them, and a perfectly normal shoe pile next to the door. They walked across the average-looking rug--though beautiful, as Peppermint observed-- and walked into a completely average-looking hallway.

Peering up and down the hallway, Skywriter yelled “Dinky! Sparkler! Your parents are out! I’m in charge!”

“Okay!” Yelled a young filly from across the house.

“Their parents?” Peppermint asked, “Ditzy’s kids?”

Skywriter nodded, “Ditzy and the Doctor. Anyway, let’s get on with our tour; the TARDIS must have materialized a few guest rooms around here somewhere.”

As if on command, four doors appeared when they turned down the length of the hallway. “Ah! And here they are now! Choose your rooms wisely. I’m going to go in the living room, you four sort out who gets what room, then I’ll show you lot around the house. Shout if you need anything!” And with that, she was off.

“I’ll take whatever room is leftover,” said Berry, “I really don’t mind.”

Snowflake looked through the rooms before stopped and staring at the third one, “Whoa!” He exclaimed, “I like this one! Anyone else wanna bid on it?”

------

The four ponies didn’t spend a whole lot of time deciding who went where. Mr. Blue took the smallest out of all of the rooms, saying that he liked his privacy and the simplicity. Snowflake got the largest out of the bunch, which really was the only option, because it seemed as if the TARDIS had personalized each of the rooms for them. Snowflake’s room had a cloud bed-hammock near the ceiling, so the two unicorns and earth pony had no use for it.

Peppermint and Berry had no problems figuring their rooms out, either. Peppermint’s had a DJ stand in it, and her walls were different than the rest of the rooms. Something told her it meant they were soundproof. Berry’s room was average-sized, with a canopy bed and lots of comfy-looking furniture.

Once they had all decided on their positions, three of them opted to go find Skywriter and ask her about the rest of the house. Peppermint was uneasy, still exhausted from the time she had woken up on the ship.

“I’ll catch up with you guys later. Wake me up for dinner, er, or something. Whatever time it is on this time machine,” she said, clearly not knowing if it was time for breakfast or for dinner.

As they trotted off, she entered her room and sighed. Complete and utter silence for the first time in what seemed like hours. Her brain was still trying to process all that was going on. She recounted what she knew.

Her name was Peppermint. Famous DJ, beloved friend. . .gah, now it sounded like she was writing her own funeral in her head.

Her name was Peppermint, a DJ from Ponyville. She was woken up by first her alarm clock, then her good friend Soarin. She clicked her tongue. Details, details. Soarin handed her a letter from the princesses, asking her at last last minute to come to Canterlot to serve as musical entertainment. They sent the letter out at around three in the morning, assuming the time it took whoever delivered the letter to get to Ponyville. . .

Then she was on the train. That is, after she sipped her coffee and read the morning article, which was also delivered to her at an ungodly hour. She read about recent disappearances, and how DJPON3, one of her long-lived rivals, had suddenly disappeared, doing the same gig that she was then requested to attend in the middle of the night.

Now that she thought about it, she got an awful lot of mail very, very early in the morning, somewhere after midnight. She assumed that maybe they did it so it was out of the way and done so workers could have the day off, but the press had covered the story so fast! The disappearance of her rival happened and made headliners the very same day, presumably across Equestria. . .

Peppermint yawned. While all of these thoughts were pulsing through her mind, she didn’t realize them slowing down and her head drifting to the side as she sat against her door. She crawled into her bed, which was incredibly comfortable, and immediately passed out.

-----

Peppermint shivered, standing up and looking around. She was in the middle of a forest, covered with snow. It was freezing.

She walked through the snow, admiring the trees and the night sky as the snow drifted down. Despite the snow, the sky was completely and totally clear, so she could see the moon and all the stars. Such was the dream realm.

All of a sudden, she saw a light through the forest. Her feet carried her towards it, leaving her with little choice. As she got closer, her heart started to beat, faster and faster, panicking as she watched the light get closer.

Suddenly, it began to get warmer. Her fear diminished as the light got closer and closer, and her surroundings got brighter and warmer and more lively.

At first, she felt joy. And then, she felt nothing.

As she stepped into the light, her feet faltered, and she began to fall, down and down, her voice left in the back of her throat.

“Peppermint! Pepper. . .”

Someone was screaming her name.

“PEPPERMINT! WAKE UP! PEPPERMINT!”

She felt compelled towards the voice, as it got closer and closer the farther she fell into the bottomless pit she was in.

“PEPPERMINT!”

-------

“Peppermint! Come on! It’s dinner!”

She woke up with a start, back in the TARDIS room. She looked around, searching for the source of the voice, until a knocking caught her attention.

“Peppermint, dinner’s ready! Are you there? Can I come in?” It was Skywriter.

She shook her head, disoriented. She wouldn’t let one messed-up dream get in her way.

“Y-yeah, come in,” she said groggily, rubbing her eyes and stretching.

The door creaked open to reveal the alicorn, who leaned against the doorway, “You coming or what?”

“Sure. Just give me a minute.” Skywriter shut the door, leaving Peppermint alone in her room. She eventually got up and stretched before opening the door and stepping out into the hallway.

She was right about the room being sound-proof-- as soon as she stepped into the hallway, a flurry of all sorts of bustling noises hit her ears, and she cringed a little at her still-sensitive senses since waking up. She followed the noises down the picture-filled hallway until she reached a little staircase, walking up it to find everyone around a table, chattering lively and setting out dishes and silverware.

“Peppermint! Just in time. Would you help me with this real quick?” It was Ditzy, holding a large pan with her wings.

“Oh! Sure.” She took the pan with her magic and set it down in the middle of the table.

“Thank you!” Ditzy replied, humming as she trotted back to the kitchen through an open archway.

Peppermint stood there, lost, and took the time to take in her surroundings.

She had just walked in from the hallway, up a little staircase of three stairs, when she had found herself in the dining room. The room was pretty big, enough to accompany the large number of ponies that were currently in the room. There was a big wooden table, with a beautiful white linen cloth over it and matching chairs. A china cabinet was on the far side of the room, right next to the windows. The windows were big, and surrounded a little table with two chairs. It reminded her of a cafe. On her left was a staircase leading down to another room. On her right was a long table, against a staircase that led to an upstairs balcony. There were more rooms up there as well. Near the staircase was the open archway that led to the kitchen, where she could see the Doctor, Ditzy and a young purple teenage mare at work, bringing out different trays of food for dinner. Straight across from where she was standing, beyond the big wooden table, was a set of double doors that seemed to lead outside, but of course, she knew they didn’t really-- a concept she was still struggling to grasp.

“Peppermint! Come sit down!” She was snapped out of her observations when she saw Berry sitting at the far end of the table, near the big windows and the little table that reminded her of a cafe.

She smiled and obeyed, sitting at the very end of the table. Mr. Blue, Snowflake and Berry were already seated. Skywriter was fussing over some napkins along with a little filly, and Jack was just entering the room through the bottom staircase.

“Hey all! What’s the dinner?” He asked to no one in particular.

“I think it’s a casserole tonight. Pony. . .casserole tonight. I think alfalfa?” Skywriter replied. Peppermint gave her a strange look for referring to the food as a ‘pony’ casserole, but she kept busying herself with the napkins, avoiding her eye contact.

“Sounds good!” Jack acted like he heard nothing as he sat down, or so Peppermint assumed. He sat next to Snowflake, who looked uncomfortable. Peppermint wondered why.

“Alright! Who’s hungry?” The Doctor walked in, speaking through his teeth with a basket full of bread in his teeth before setting it down.

“I’m starving!” The excited little filly said as she sat down with everyone else.

The Doctor spotted Peppermint from across the table, and smiled, “Pepperpot! You just woke up! Have you not been introduced to my family?”

Peppermint shook her head, “Uh, it’s Peppermint-- and no, I haven’t.”

“Well then!” The Doctor piped, ignoring her comment about her name, “This is my wife Ditzy whom you’ve already met when she saved you,” Ditzy smiled, “and these are our daughters, Sparkler and Dinky!” He pointed at them one at a time. The older teen Sparkler, waved and smiled. She had three diamonds for a cutie mark and was all sorts of different shades of purple that defined her mane and tail, as well as her coat. The younger one, Dinky, was a lighter shade of purple in her coat, almost grey, and had a golden mane and tail.

Peppermint smiled at the two and waved back, hiding the fact that she found it peculiar that an earth pony and a pegasus had two unicorn daughters.

“All introduced? All right! Let’s eat!” The Doctor said excitedly. They all dug in, chatting excitedly. Except for Snowflake. She hadn’t heard him talk much, but he was especially making a point to be miserable at that one point in time.

After dinner, mostly everyone retired to the living room, which was straight down the hallway past their rooms and the front-hall portal. Peppermint could hear laughter coming from the room, but decided against going into the living room with everyone else. She wasn’t sure why.

Upon her umpteenth time walking around the halls that she knew, she was passing through the console room when she saw Snowflake hurriedly limping towards the doors of the TARDIS.

“Where are you going?” Peppermint asked him. Snowflake turned to show her his horrified face. He grabbed her firmly by the shoulders.

“Hey! What’s your deal? What’re you--”

“Shh!” Snowflake hushed her harshly. “I’ve got to get out of here!”

Peppermint wrestled his hoof off of her mouth, “Why don’t you just leave? I’m sure they won’t mind--”

“Something’s up, Peppermint. Something totally wrong is going on here.” He looked around like a madpony, making sure no one could hear him.

“What is it? What’s going on?” Peppermint arched an eyebrow.

Snowflake answered her, his voice lower than a whisper. She had to lean in to hear him.

“You know that Captain Jack? I saw him die.”

Chapter Four

It’s cold.

So. . .so cold.

Help me.

Please.

Help!

-------

“Run!” Ditzy screamed, and they all turned and ran out of the cave. The Cyberpony followed behind as the ponies galloped towards the forest. Peppermint looked at the distant Canterlot castle. It’s lights were shining bright, what it usually looked like during the Summer Sun celebration. But as they approached the forest and the trees began to sprout around them, she noticed something else. There was a green tint in the corner of the sky, just a glimmer. She shook her head, thinking it was her imagination.

The cyberpony was teleporting now, from place to place, so it could reach them faster. It stayed under the cliff that hung off the side of the mountain, sticking to the shadows. It was harder to spot there, and the ponies could only run and hope it wasn’t immediately behind them.

Suddenly, the pony was almost in pace with them, and they hadn’t much space in between them.

The pony teleported in front of them, directly where Peppermint was.

“Help!” She screeched as the pony shot at her, saying in its terrifying monotone voice: “You will be deleted. You will be deleted.”

Peppermint turned her head, just in time to see a small beam heading towards her. The world stopped, as if in slow motion. The beam hit her in the chest, sending her flying back. She could hear Ditzy screaming her name beyond where she was, but it didn’t feel right. She felt disconnected and lightheaded as the beam hit her.

“Is this what death feels like?” She thought, as she saw all the faces she had only just gotten to know, “Is this the end for me?”

Suddenly, she realized that it might just be the end for her. She closed her eyes and accepted it, a tear rolling down her cheek as she descended into darkness.

-------

“Peppermint!”

She was cold.

“Peppermint! Can you hear me? Wake up!”

So. . .cold. . .

“Peppermint!”

Water was splashed on her face, and she woke up with a start.

“W-what the hell?” She screamed, disoriented. She looked around. The ceiling was spinning still, lights flashing like a heartbeat, and a low hum was audible.

“Where am I?” She tried to get up.

“Don’t try and get up, now!” The feverish mare was Sugar. “You’ll hurt yourself!”

“Hurt. . .myself?” Peppermint asked, confused. She looked around for Ditzy, who was laying by her side, looking down at her.

“You were attacked by a cyberpony on our little run there,” Ditzy smirked, “Luckily, we were teleported here before anything could happen to us!” The mare was surprisingly more bubbly than she had been before, probably from a lack of immediate danger. Peppermint stared at her, perplexed.

“But. . .how?”

“Quite right, dear, to be disoriented at the moment,” said a stallion’s voice passively from behind her, “Give it a few minutes, it’ll wear off eventually.”

Peppermint was getting frustrated now, from the lack of answers. “How did we get here?” She asked. She turned to face the voice.

Perched on his legs and staring at a screen, was a peculiar-looking buckskin stallion with an hourglass for a cutie mark. His eyes were a deep blue, and fixed on the screen in front of him. As soon as she saw him, he lost focus and looked at her to give her a big grin.

“Hello, Miss Peppermint!” He said.

She lifted a hoof and waved, confused, “Hi?”

“Oh look! Sane ponies!” A blue alicorn exclaimed as she trotted down the steps. “No offense, Ditzy,” but then turned to the stallion, “Take offense, Doctor.”

The “Doctor” stallion pouted and went back to looking at the screen, pushing buttons and scanning through different readings.

The blue pony made her way down to Peppermint, giving her a hoof and helping her up. At first she was a bit unsteady, but eventually was able to stand with Sugar’s support. “Name’s Skywriter,” the pony said. “You must be Peppermint?”

“Why does everyone know my name?” Peppermint hissed inside her head. She was so tired, though, that all she could do was nod.

“Here,” said Sugar, “Drink this.” She handed Peppermint a cup of water. Peppermint gulped down the whole thing. She was so thirsty.

She put the cup down, looking around at all the ponies before her. There was the four ponies she had met that day: Sugar, Mr. Blue, Snowflake, and Ditzy. Ditzy stood next to the buckskin stallion, who were both staring intently at a screen in front of them. Skywriter, the alicorn, sat on a seat a few feet away from Peppermint.

Peppermint finally decided to try and stand, wobbling a bit before she shook her head and leaned against her right haunch.

“Sorry, but. . .Doctor who? Assuming you have a name?”

“Doctor Time Turner. Of course, it really isn’t very catchy, so I’d just prefer ‘Doctor.’” He replied, still staring at the screen, then, after playing around with a few buttons, continued, “We’ve taken you aboard our ship; the TARDIS, she’s called.”

“Who’s ship?” Peppermint looked around, then back  at the Doctor, “Your’s?”

“Well, not just me. Ditzy, Sparkler, Dinky, or Jenny, as is her real name,” He kept on as he switched buttons and levers, “Jack, Skywriter, and sometimes the princesses.” He finished his sentence with a smile, looking at Peppermint before pulling a lever down.

The ship seemed to breathe, heaving for a few seconds, lights flashing and a big pillar in the middle of the room moving up-and-down, before it stop and everything rested.

“Well, it was nice to meet you, Peppermint, but we must be off!” The Doctor ran down the steps, picking up a long trench coat as Ditzy followed. A blue pegasus stallion came from a side hallway carrying a gun-like machine on his back. “All fixed and ready to go, Doctor!” He exclaimed.

“Brilliant, Jack.” The Doctor looked back at all the ponies watching their interactions. “You lot, stay put here,” he looked at Skywriter, “You, stay and watch them. Don’t open the door for anyone, even if you think you can trust them.”

“What!” Skywriter whined, “Am I seriously stuck with the babysitting job?”

“See you!” The Doctor said before heading out the door, Ditzy and Jack following behind closely.

Despite the fact that they were now gone, Peppermint’s eyes were still wide open as she scanned the enormous room. She was still in awe.

“Well, then,” Skywriter sighed, “I guess we have some time to kill.”
